Cynthia Erivo, Zoe Saldaña, and several other stars were celebrated as The Hollywood Reporter’s (THR) 2025 Power Stylists. The stars opened up about the inspiration behind their iconic fashion choices and the talented celebrity stylists who craft their unforgettable red carpet looks.
Erivo, alongside her longtime stylist Jason Bolden, graced the front cover of THR, released on March 6, wearing a stunning archival Givenchy Couture gown by Alexander McQueen. Bolden complemented the look with a sharp Saint Laurent and YSL suit, paired with his own t-shirt and jewelry.
THR also unveiled a stunning cover featuring Saldaña, where the Oscar-winning actress looked radiant in a Ferragamo dress. Her trusted stylist, Petra Flannery, wore a chic Khaite top and pants, accessorized with Vrai X Petra and Meehan jewelry, along with stylish cuffs.

Bolden was behind the striking green vinyl dress that Erivo wore at the Wicked L.A. film premiere — a look that set the tone for the bold, cutting-edge styles she would later rock at other high-profile events. Speaking to THR about the ensemble, Bolden shared that he wanted to take risks with the daring look, pushing the boundaries of fashion.
“The green vinyl dress was a play on everything that Cynthia is: edgy, fearless, modern and Hollywood,” the risk-taking stylist said. “With these traits in mind, I came to the idea of a dress using a classic shape but with an extravagant fabric and color choice.”
Erivo fell in love with the dress when she saw it, partly because green is her “favorite color.” As far as what look she loves the most from Bolden, there are “too many to choose.”
She added, “..If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t wear it. Why? Because why not!”
Flannery styled Saldana in a breathtaking Saint Laurent fuchsia look for the L.A. premiere of Emilia Pérez, an event where the actress was crowned best dressed. Flannery revealed that the ensemble was inspired by the character Saldaña portrayed in the award-winning film.
“Each element was chosen to reflect both her character’s essence and the spirit of Emilia Pérez,” the powerhouse stylist shared. “Teaming with Anthony Vaccarello and Saint Laurent helped bring this fashion story to life.”
Over their 20 years of working together, Flannery mentioned that Saldaña has never sought to appease the masses with her style choices.
“Instead, they reflect her self-confidence. She is decisive, intentional and knows exactly what she wants — and that decisiveness gives her style its undeniable impact,” the fashion expert added.
Saldaña said her favorite look from Flannery was the Saint Laurent gown that she wore to the Oscars.
“It will forever mean so much to me. The bordeaux color was a nod to the red suit in the film. The fabric, the gloves, the whole look was beautiful. It felt timeless yet modern,” she shared.
