Rapper Dave East was honored with a heartfelt tribute to his late best friend and fellow rapper Kiing Shooter, immortalized through a stunning art piece by Splat Werkz. The tribute, unveiled during an intimate dinner at Brooklyn Chop House, held deep emotional significance for East, serving as a powerful reminder of Shooter’s influence and enduring presence in his life and career. Shooter died of liver disease in 2020 suspected to have been caused by Covid -19 during the pandemic. He was only 27 years old.

The exclusive event, hosted by Splat Werkz owners PJ and Karol, was curated by Roseay of The Now PR and brought together a notable group of attendees, including actress and entrepreneur Nicole Murphy, rapper Scarlip, restaurateur Robert “Don Pooh” Cummins. Celebrity realtor Jiton Greene, and cultural influencer Lynn Hobson. TV/radio personality Jazmyn Summers was there for Radio One to capture the moments.
The centerpiece of the evening was the remarkable artwork created by Jonathan, a gifted artist from the Splat Werkz art team. This masterpiece captured the essence of East’s journey with intricate details, including his signature iced-out chains and watch. SNS powder was used to mimic the brilliance of diamonds, giving the piece a lifelike shimmer that elevated its craftsmanship and creativity. Beyond its visual allure, the artwork served as a profound symbol of friendship, legacy, and personal triumph.
