When we saw Nia Long at the SKIMS NYC headquarters launch last week, we should have known business mastermind Kim Kardashian was up to something. Fast forward to today, and Nia Long made her debut as a SKIMS model in the trendy brand’s latest campaign. Nia’s mahogany skin is a beautiful palette to display the color range of Kim’s SKIMS.
Nia’s melanin shines in the promo. The beloved actress lays across a blank canvas wearing a seamless body suit and black pumps. Another shot shows Nia with her bawdy on display in a bra and panty with pantyhose.

“The beauty about being a woman is when you feel good, you look good. Whatever stage of your life, whatever age, whatever size, we have to love every inch and own every part of ourselves,” Long said in a statement. “I’m truly honored to be a part of this campaign. SKIMS has redefined shapewear with pieces that not only look incredible but also give me the confidence and support I need to feel my best.”
Nia and Kim posed for a photo at the SKIMS launch. Kim was easily as excited to work with Nia, “I have been in awe of Nia since the 90s, so to have her star in our latest SKIMS shapewear campaign is truly iconic” said Kim. She continued, “Nia is such a beautiful and confident woman, which was so effortlessly captured for the campaign. She looks so incredible in every single piece.”
Nia Long’s Youthful Appearance
Nia Long has been on the scene lately. You can catch her slaying in SKIMS or the Walmart commercial alongside her former Love Jones co-star Larenz Tate. We spoke to the duo about the commercial, who dropped a little behind-the-scenes fact about filming together.
“Nia is incredibly fun to work with and easy to work with,” Larenz Tate said. Jumping in to add to his statement, Nia revealed they did “argue” on set. “We argued about the dance move,” she said with a laugh.
The secret Nia’s youthful appearance is…sleep. “I got to bed super early,” she revealed during our chat. “I rest. I workout. I play tennis. I do a lot of stretching. I get massages. At a certain point in your life, when you see that your children are self-sufficient you turn that energy back on yourself.”
