The R. Kelly allegations continue…this time, it’s familial.
Kelly’s estranged daughter, 26-year-old Buku Abi (born Joann Kelly), has revealed that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by her father as a child. Her tearful admission was released in a trailer for the upcoming documentary R Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey, to premiere October 11, 2024 on TVEI Network.

The network tells that the documentary will “uncover the dark reality of living in the shadow of one of the most notorious figures in music.” The film will also include testimonies from his children Robert Kelly Jr. (22), Jaah Kelly (24), and former wife of 13 years, Drea Kelly (50).

In 2022, R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison for racketeering and sex trafficking case. In 2023, he received an additional 20 years for sexual exploitation and enticement of a minor. R. Kelly will be eligible for release in 2045 (at 78 years old).
