The life of a bachelor can bear many gifts — freedom, first and only dibs on drinking out the carton and a general spot in the world to call your own is a lifestyle that many, many, many, many men dream about.

50 Cent can be seen as the apex goal of what it means to be that guy. On top of his place in life as a multimillionaire hip-hop mogul, he’s also apparently living the “happily unmarried” life as well. His recent stop by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert gave some insight into where his mind is at when it comes to getting married.

Ladies, don’t hold your breath!

It goes without saying that marriage, especially for a businessman like Curtis Jackson III himself, comes with a lot of consideration and a honest conversation in regards to a prenup. However, it appears that his view might be more on the ‘never ever’ side of things based on the way he answered Colbert’s prying questions in regards to when he’ll finally settle down. “I’ve made some mistakes, just not that one,” he jokingly said in reference to getting married, sparked from his recent declaration that he’s been practicing celibacy.

While many out there might actually commend the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ emcee for his abstinence in the pursuit of success, there’s just as many who, like Colbert, can’t understand how a man who seemingly has everything doesn’t see himself adding a Mrs. by his side to share the wealth with. What side do you fall on?

Take a look below to see what many are saying about 50 Cent and avoiding the “mistake” of marriage:

9. When you practice celibacy and abstain out of choice you quickly discover that sex is just a thing to do and not the be all and end all. You use sex and not let it use you. Once you have that clarity everything becomes easier and your motivations change.
