Philadelphia rapper YBC Dul was reportedly killed in his hometown of Philadelphia, at the age of 25.
According to the Philly Crime Update, a reputable source on social media, a homicide by shooting occurred in the 35th District on the 5500 block of N 6th St on the highway at 3:34 PM.
Sources say A 25-year-old Black male was shot multiple times in the chest and right hand. He was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by a private vehicle and was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM.

Authorities say they were unable to make any apprehensions and no weapons were recovered from the scene upon arrival.
Who is YBC Dul?
Abdul Vicks, better known as YBC Dul, was a rapper and vlogger from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a prominent figure the Philadelphia gang known as the Young Bag Chasers (YBC), a group of friends that were formed in West Philadelphia.
YBC began to feud with other groups in the area as well as other neighborhoods that made Philadelphia as a whole a ‘warzone’. YBC made contributions to the 1,930 deaths in Philadelphia from 2019-2022. Most recently, 22 year old Arshad Curry, better known as YBC Curry, was sentenced to 42-85 years after he was found guilty of three murders in 2021
When the fued initially began, YBC wasn’t a music artist. YBC Dul’s first song ‘Op Shoppin’ was posted on Youtube in 2022. It was at this time, YBC Dul wanted to take his first hand accounts of murder, and utilize his storytelling ability to make music.
He quickly became a YouTube sensation for his dark lyrics in which he “dissed the dead”, highlighting multiple slain teenagers in his songs. YBC Dul painted graphic lyrics about the slayings of his ‘opps’ throughout Philadelphia and was seen on video at a graveyard allegedly digging up one of his enemies’ body . This scornful behavior brought a buzz to his other moniker ‘Mr. Disrespectful’.
YBC Dul was featured in a life interview with Brandon Buckingham that was released less than 24 hours ago (Aug. 22). In the interview he mentioned how his new found nickname came about.
“We diss differently… that’s how I got my name for real for real” YBC Dul explained. “’cause if you ’bout what I’m talkin’ ’bout, it’s like… damn, he just said that?”
Brandon Buckingham took to social media to pay his respects. “Damn rest in peace Ybcdul. Just found out he was killed a few hours ago. Brandon posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
