Halle Berry got candid about her sex life on the ‘Drew Barrymore Show’, revealing a doctor misdiagnosed her with herpes when it was really premenopusal vaginal dryness. Berry, who was promoting her intimacy gel Let’s Spin, opened up about the pain she was feeling in her womanly area and how the confusing diagnosis and how it affected her and her partner, Van Hunt.

According to the Academy Award-winning actress, she and Hunt began playing the blame game against each other trying to figure out who gave the disease to the other person. Her doctor then called her back to inform her of the misdiagnosis. However, he wasn’t sure what was wrong.

Vaginal Dryness

Berry discovered she had vaginal dryness syndrome. According to ACOG, “Vaginal dryness can cause irritation, burning, and pain with intercourse. It’s common after menopause, and it also can happen in the years leading up to menopause. Often, my patients notice symptoms when they haven’t been sexually active for a long time. Then they are intimate with a partner and find that sex is painful.”

Berry revealed she figured out what was wrong and was suffering through the condition. Drew Berrymoore chimed in to say it feels like “sand paper.” Berry added, “razor blades.”

So, she did something about it. She teamed up with Re Spin x Joy Lux to create her highly praised intimacy gel, Let’s Spin. And now she and Hunt love to spin again.

“We as women have to have the courage to talk to our partners about it,” she explained.

Beloved influencer and businesswoman Tabitha Brown gave Let’s Spin a try and gave it a rave review and her auntie approval.
