Yesterday, during the Super Bowl, Marvel Studios surprised fans and released a new trailer for the upcoming feature film Thunderbolts*. Continue reading to check it out!
In Thunderbolts*, government officials assemble an unconventional team of antiheroes — Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?
Thunderbolts* will bring a host of Marvel Cinematic Universe characters back into the fold. The cast includes Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth, Oppenheimer, Dune: Part Two) as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan (Gossip Girl, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Pam & Tommy) as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour (Brokeback Mountain, Black Mass, Stranger Things) as Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Black Widow) as Taskmaster, Hannah John-Kamen (Ready Player One, Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Ghost, Wyatt Russell (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as John Walker/US Agent, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfield, Veep, You People) as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The film will also introduce some exciting new faces to the MCU—Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer and Wendell Edward Pierce.
Jake Schreier directed Thunderbolts* with Kevin Feige producing. Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Scarlett Johansson served as executive producers. In addition to the trailer being released, Marvel Studios also announced the exciting news that Son Lux will be scoring Thunderbolts*.”The three-member, American experimental band was Oscar and BAFTA- nominated for their score for 2022’s best picture Everything Everywhere All at Once.
