Method Man, the legendary rapper and hood heartthrob we all know and love, is in the news again—but this time, it’s not for his music, good looks, or acting. Reports say the Wu-Tang OG may have gotten into an altercation while allegedly defending his daughter Cheyenne.
According to reports, Method Man is accused of punching a man multiple times during an incident at a Staten Island Crunch Fitness gym. The alleged victim, Patrick Sokoya, claims the rapper landed seven punches “with a closed fist,” leaving him dizzy.
However, Patrick reportedly refused medical attention at the scene.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. A source close to the situation told The New York Post that this altercation could be personal. Patrick is reportedly the ex-boyfriend of Method Man’s daughter, Cheyenne. The two were together almost a decade ago.

Despite a complaint being filed with the NYPD, no formal charges were placed. A rep for Method Man recently spoke with Billboard and denied the allegations. They stated: “Mr. Smith categorically denies the allegations as reported and has not been the subject of an arrest by any law enforcement agency.”
