Vin Diesel had to clarify things are all good between him and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson following a very awkward moment during The Golden Globes last weekend.

Diesel took to Instagram to explain to his followers that there is no beef between him and his Fast & Furious co-star simmering. The actor shared an old photo of the two action stars at the Fast 5 premiere in Rio De Jinero with the caption, “All love… Always….”

Diesel’s post came after an awkward moment while presenting the award for cinematic and box office achievement during the January 5 award ceremony at The Beverly Hilton.

Before doing what he was brought there to do and reading the names of the nominees, Diesel singled out the former WWE superstar, saying, “Hey, Dwayne.”

Johnson responded with what looked like an awkward smile and a head nod while the crowd laughed.

As expected, the moment went viral, with people wondering if the beef between the two actors is still ongoing.

Vin Diesel & Dwyane Johnson’s Beef Explained

Johnson, 52, joined the Fast & Furious franchise in Fast 5 as the lawman  Luke Hobbs. He would star in four Fast & Furious films alongside Diesel, 57, before getting his spinoff film, 2019’s Hobbs & Shaw, also starring Jason Statham.

Things got interesting when Johnson called unnamed co-stars “candy asses” on Instagram after working on 2017’s The Fate of the Furious. Numerous reports indicated that Johnson was talking about Diesel and possibly Tyrese Gibson, but the beef with the latter seemed one-sided.

Johnson and Diesel would continue to take jabs at each other in interviews, with Johnson letting the world know he had no intentions of coming back to the movie franchise despite Diesel pleading with him.

“This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly — and privately — that I would not be returning to the franchise,” The Rock told CNN in a 2021 interview.

He continued, “I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return.”

Even though Diesel said everything was good, X users were not buying it.
