Fans of the Scary Movie franchise have something to look forward to. The the potential comeback of a comedy classic.
Regina Hall, known for her unforgettable role as Brenda Meeks, recently shared her excitement about the franchise’s revival.
In an interview, Hall revealed that the Wayans brothers—who originally conceptualized and launched Scary Movie—are back at the helm of the project. This news has sparked speculation about which familiar faces might return and what new elements the reboot might bring.

Hall expressed her enthusiasm for reuniting with the original team, saying, “I’m just very excited to know that the Wayans, who actually started the project out of their idea, are back on board and at the helm again. We’ll see if Brenda is in this new world. I’m thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again. That would be fun.”
The Scary Movie series, a comedic take on the horror genre filled with parodies and over-the-top gags, initially debuted in 2000 and became an instant hit. Regina Hall’s portrayal of Brenda Meeks, known for her hilarious quips and larger-than-life reactions, remains a fan favorite and cemented her status as a standout comedic actress.

Fans were also reminded of Anna Faris’s recent comments regarding her return to the series. Faris, who starred alongside Hall, joked that there were two conditions for her comeback: money and Regina Hall.
