Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe is facing a $50 million lawsuit by a woman who accuses him of raping her on multiple occasions.
TMZ obtained the lawsuit, filed Sunday (April 20) by a “Jane Doe” in Nevada who says Sharpe brutally sexually assaulted her several times following a long, abusive relationship.
According to the suit, Doe met the football legend at an LA-area gym in 2023. She stated in the docs during their first meeting that Sharpe told her he would “buy her fake t**s” if she won a weight-loss competition with him. He then, allegedly, proceeded to pursue her nonstop.

Ultimately, the two entered a consensual relationship, though she did say that the relationship was controlling and verbally abusive.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing Doe in the suit, wrote that the former Denver Broncos tight end “demanded complete control over her time and body, expecting her to be at his house on his schedule, at his command, whenever he called.”
More from TMZ:
Doe claimed there was one argument in particular that terrified her — when he yelled at her while a firearm was visible in the room.
“Plaintiff tried sharing her location with friends from her iPhone — just in case,” the docs state. “But Sharpe saw her doing this. The moment he realized what she was doing, he grabbed her by the neck and told her, ‘If you ever do that again, I will f***ing kill you.’”
Despite the threats, Doe continued her relationship with Sharpe, even moving to Nevada in the summer of 2024. However, following Sharpe’s infamous sexual encounter on Instagram Live, Doe tried to break things off, which led to Sharpe allegedly raping her.

Doe claims he first raped her in her apartment in October 2024, saying he forced himself on her “while she was crying and sobbing.”
The second instance allegedly happened in January 2025. Doe claims that Sharpe came over with the promise of delivering a Christmas and birthday gift.
In a statement, Buzbee said:
“It takes a great deal of courage to stand up against those with power, fame and money. I look forward to pressing this case in court.”
So far, Sharpe has not responded to the lawsuit.
