Carmelo Anthony Joins Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025

Carmelo Anthony has officially been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025. The 10-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist secures his place among basketball’s all-time greats after a legendary career spanning nearly two decades.

A Legacy of Scoring and Championships

Anthony made an immediate impact in college, leading Syracuse University to an NCAA Championship in 2003 as a freshman. That success propelled him to the NBA, where the Denver Nuggets selected him with the third overall pick in the 2003 Draft. Over the next 19 seasons, he became one of the league’s most prolific scorers.

NBA Success and International Dominance

Anthony played for multiple NBA teams, most notably the New York Knicks, where he became a franchise icon. He retired in 2022 with career averages of 22.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. His 28,289 career points rank 12th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Beyond the NBA, Anthony was a force in international play, winning three Olympic gold medals for Team USA. His ability to score from anywhere on the court cemented his status as a basketball legend.

Anthony’s Hall of Fame induction marks a well-deserved honor for one of the game’s greatest scorers and most influential players.
