Terrell “Ralo” Davis, the Atlanta rapper known for his gritty lyrics and unfiltered storytelling, is unveiling his most personal narrative yet in his new memoir, CHOSEN. Rising to fame with his 2015 breakout single “Can’t Lie” featuring Future, Ralo built a career on authenticity—his music reflecting the realities of street life, ambition, and survival. But behind the beats and bravado was a young man navigating a world of turmoil, where each decision carried life-altering consequences.

In CHOSEN, Ralo takes readers on an unflinching journey through Da Bluff, one of Atlanta’s most notorious neighborhoods, where he learned early on that survival often meant making choices that few could understand. With limited opportunities and a hunger for success, he was drawn into a fast-paced, high-stakes lifestyle that promised power but often ended in destruction. As his influence in the streets grew, so did the risks—leading to hard lessons, deep losses, and ultimately, a reckoning that would change his life forever.

But CHOSEN isn’t just about the streets—it’s about transformation. In the memoir, Ralo details the pivotal moments that made him rethink his path, the wake-up calls that forced him to reflect, and the mentors who helped him see a different future. The book is a testament to his resilience, showing how he turned hardship into motivation and emerged as a leader determined to uplift others.

“I had to learn the hard way that real leadership isn’t about control—it’s about lifting others up,” Ralo shares with Radio/TV personality Jazmyn Summers for Radio One.   “This book isn’t just about my past; it’s about my mission to help the next generation see that they have choices.”

The release of CHOSEN was organized by the Legion Media Group, a Black woman-owned firm dedicated to amplifying powerful voices and impactful stories. With their support, Ralo is reaching beyond his music audience, inspiring readers to reflect on their own journeys and make intentional decisions about their futures. The event was co-hosted by hip hop artist Torae.

Despite facing legal troubles that temporarily halted his music career, Ralo’s influence never wavered. While incarcerated, he continued to engage with his fans, offering messages of hope and resilience. His 2024 album, Welcome Home, featuring collaborations with Key Glock and K. Michelle, marks his triumphant return to the rap scene. But more than just a comeback, it’s a declaration of his growth—an artist who has evolved beyond his past and is using his platform for greater impact.

Beyond music and literature, Ralo is deeply committed to giving back. Through various initiatives, he has provided financial aid to struggling families, supported those facing hardships, and advocated for social justice issues. His mission is clear: to prevent the next generation from making the same mistakes he did and to show that redemption is possible for anyone willing to fight for it.

With over 1.5 million Instagram followers (@ralofamgoon) and a dedicated fanbase, Ralo’s story is one of perseverance, faith, and the power of choice. CHOSEN isn’t just a memoir—it’s a movement, proving that no matter where you start, you have the power to change your ending.

CHOSEN is now available for readers seeking a raw, inspiring account of survival, self-discovery, and redemption.
