Disgraced R&B hitmaker R. Kelly has emerged as the latest to hop on the viral “Residuals” challenge with his spin on the Chris Brown hit… and… it’s something.

So far, we have seen several R&B crooners, including Tank, Mario, Jacob Lattimore, and more, remixing the track with their own tales of vulnerability and accountability for a failed love affair. Needless to say, Mr. Kelly opted to take a different approach to his version, ditching the accountability in favor of calling out those who may have jacked his – well – residuals.

Producer Rodney East posted the clip on Instagram Monday (March 10), featuring the incarcerated crooner singing his verse through the prison phone.

They still selling my music making all this money

Don’t even send sh*t to my books for commissary

Though I’m in this place, I know I don’t deserve this

It’s questions on my mind, it’s questions on my mind…

And let’s not forget about the chorus:

Tell me who…. Who’s getting all my checks? Where’s my money at? (Please!)

Tell me who…who’s getting paid for my grind? All of that supposed to be mine.

In case you (and, apparently, Kellz) need a reminder as to where his residuals might be heading: PEOPLE Magazine recently reported that he still owes the majority of a $10.3 million judgment against him to six of his alleged sex abuse victims.

Kelly is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence on racketeering and sexual abuse charges. Despite continuing to declare his innocence, the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled last month to uphold his conviction.
