If there’s one thing Keke Wyatt is going to do, it’s to remind the world of her powerhouse vocal skills while putting us in our feelings. And at Angie Stone’s memorial service, she did exactly that.

With a tearful, soul-stirring rendition of “His Eye Is on the Sparrow,” Keke’s voice cleared the room while honoring the legacy of such an influential R&B singer. From delicate falsettos to gut-wrenching belts, she took the congregation to church in a way that felt both deeply personal and moving.

Before starting hitting high notes, Keke shared how much Angie meant to her. She revealed that Angie often called her to pray or offer encouragement.

“She was so beautiful. Like seriously, I love her music and I love her voice and all that. But her as a person trumps all of that,” Keke reportedly said.

Many celebrities joined Keke, sharing their voices and talents to honor Angie. Anthony Hamilton and Kirk Franklin also performed, bringing their own soulful tributes.

Tyler Perry spoke from the heart, referencing one of Angie’s most beloved songs: “In ‘No More Rain (In This Cloud),’ she says, ‘My sunshine is coming, and I’m all cried out.’”

The service, held at Word of Faith Cathedral in Atlanta on March 14, was a beautiful memorial, with Angie resting in a silver and gold casket surrounded by roses. Another service is planned in her home state of South Carolina this weekend.

Angie Stone passed away on March 1 following a car accident. Her legacy, however, is eternal – living through her music, cultural impact, and those she inspired, like Keke Wyatt and more.
