President Donald Trump is making good on his promise to deliver a “MAGA makeover” by rolling out a series of executive actions in his first week back, reversing key Biden-era policies and pushing forward on his campaign agenda.
What Is An Executive Order?
Executive Orders (EOs) are official documents … through which the President of the United States manages the operations of the Federal Government.” The directives cite the President’s authority under the Constitution and statute (sometimes specified). EOs are published in the Federal Register, and they may be revoked by the President at any time (Office of Justice Programs).
Here’s how they work…
5 Executive Orders You Need To Know…
1. DEI and Gender
- Executive branch departments and agencies have 60 days to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs, including all “chief diversity officer” jobs, “equity action plans” and “environmental justice” positions
- Terminating a 60-year-old executive order setting anti-discrimination requirements for government agencies and contractors
- Gender order stating that “it is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female”
