The Girl Scouts Are Discontinuing Two Beloved Cookie Flavors, New Flavors To Come?
The Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) have announced bittersweet news for cookie enthusiasts as they bid farewell to two popular flavors, S’mores and Toast-Yay!, after the 2025 cookie season.
This marks the first time the organization has given fans advance notice of a flavor discontinuation, allowing loyal customers a full year to satisfy their cravings for these iconic treats.
S’mores cookies, first introduced in 2017, are a nostalgic nod to the classic camp treat with their crunchy graham layers and chocolate-marshmallow filling.
They were originally launched in two versions, although only the graham sandwich cookie variety remains.
Toast-Yay!, a relative newcomer to the Girl Scout Cookie lineup, debuted in 2021.
Inspired by French toast, this delightful treat features a maple-flavored icing dip that has earned the admiration of many sweet-toothed fans.
Despite their unique flavors and widespread love, neither S’mores nor Toast-Yay! ranked among the organization’s top-selling varieties, which include classics like:
- Thin Mints
- Samoas
- Tagalongs
The decision to retire the cookies stems from GSUSA’s regular evaluation of their lineup to make room for new innovations.
While no new cookie flavors have been announced yet, a GSUSA spokesperson hinted that this change could pave the way for exciting new additions to the cookie roster.
“Discontinuing S’mores and Toast-Yay! may lead to something new and delicious,” the representative teased.
Beyond their flavors, Girl Scout Cookies play a vital role in supporting the Girl Scouts’ mission of leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community building.
Cookie sales empower girls by providing them with funds to fuel their troop activities and projects.
