Grammy award-winning singer SZA will make her acting debut on January 17 in her upcoming comedy, “One of Them Days,” co-starring Keke Palmer. Although Palmer is a veteran of the press tour movie circuit, SZA is taking a plunge into the scene, hopping from talk shows to interview junkets like a pro. The singer, who has been very vocal regarding her struggles with anxiety, is stepping into a new chapter in her life that involves her sharing her acting skills with the world.
During the latest stop on her press tour, the “Snooze” crooner shared a picture to her Instagram account rocking a head full of crimson red hair with pink highlights that perfectly framed her face. In the selfie, the actress rocked a polka-dot cropped wrap top, a pair of polka-dot pedal pushers, and her hands dressed in henna.
“PRESS THANGS FOR #ONEOFTHEMDAYSMOVIE COMING JANUARY 17th ,” the selfie queen captioned her photos.
The comments section was flooded with praise about her hair, outfit, and the fact that she is shining in her acting era.
Who is responsible for SZA’s two-tone hairstyle?
Hairstylist to the stars, Devante Turnbull, is responsible for SZA’s gorgeous head of hair. This summer, the stylist, who frequently works with the singer, posted a video of the actress in waist-length, bubble-gum pink curls after experimenting with red during a previous show.
“After recently trying red hair for a show, I got inspired to experiment with another color. I did a poll, and most of you, along with @sza, chose pink—so here it is!
Which Color Next?” he wrote.
Keep the colors coming! We love that SZA stays true to her personal style as she explores this new chapter in her life. Anxiety and all, the starlet is stepping into her actress era, which involves shutting down her inner critic so she can thrive—and she’s doing it in style.
