This appearance comes ahead of his latest comedy special, Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer, being in the running for a Grammy Award in the Best Comedy Album category.
Joining Chappelle as the musical guest is rising star GloRilla, making her “SNL” debut. The multi-platinum artist has had a breakout year, earning two Grammy nominations for her chart-topping single “Yeah Glo!” Fans can expect GloRilla to bring her electrifying energy and unmatched charisma to the stage, adding to an already highly anticipated episode.
In addition to this weekend’s lineup, “SNL” recently announced that Timothée Chalamet will take the helm as host for a February episode, marking his third hosting appearance. Chalamet will also perform as the musical guest, showcasing his talents beyond acting. The acclaimed star is riding high on accolades for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, which is now playing in theaters.
As “Saturday Night Live” gears up for its milestone 50th anniversary in mid-February, fans can also look forward to a weekend-long celebration culminating in SNL50: The Anniversary Special, a live primetime broadcast airing on Sunday, Feb. 16.
