For weeks, Beyoncé fans have been sitting on the edge of their seats for her highly-anticipated Jan. 14th announcement, but they’ll have to wait a little longer. The superstar is being called a “class act” for postponing (via Instagram early this morning) due to the LA wildfires.

“The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles. I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community,” she wrote on Instagram.
The caption encouraged fans to visit the link in her bio to her foundation BeyGood—through which she donated 2.5 million dollars to support relief— to donate to residents impacted by the tragic fires.
So far, the death toll is at 24 and nearly 200,000 residents have been displaced.
