Maybe They Should’ve Just Used Some PTO
The holidays can be a stressful time of year, especially for our delivery drivers.
According to a post by the Lakeville (Massachusetts) Police Department, one delivery driver for Amazon reached their boiling point just before the holiday.
A police officer recovered approximately 80 packages around 2 a.m. Sunday morning. The officer spotted three large totes amid a line of trees. When he investigated, he saw that they were undelivered packages for Amazon. He then gathered everything he could find and brought them into the station.

The next day, a delivery driver went to the police station to admit their decision to leave the packages there because they were “stressed”.
From FOX 8:
“I am proud of the way our Lakeville Police officers handled and investigated this matter. At this time, we are not seeking criminal charges and are considering this a human resources matter for Amazon,” Chief Perkins wrote in in the press release.
The Amazon driver also told police they had planned to report the incident to their manager.
There is no word yet if the driver will be punished.
