Lay Bankz has capped off an amazing year, closing 2024 by making history. Under Armour has signed Lay Bankz, making Bankz the company’s first female music artist to sign with the brand.
News broke from Nick DePaula, of Boardroom — a media company founded by NBA Star Kevin Durant — that the Philly native was signing a deal with the sportswear company.
Bankz was extremely grateful for the opportunity and hopes to make an impact with Under Armour the same way the company made an impact on her life growing up.
“I hope to be a unique voice for Under Armour, just like they’ve provided a unique style for me,” Bankz told sources.
Sean Eggert, SVP of Sports Marketing for Under Armour, spoke to the talent of Bankz and her distinctive abilities to bring authenticity to her art as a key reasoning for sparking the company’s interest.
“Lay’s authenticity and commitment to self-expression will undoubtedly resonate with athletes and fans alike. By inspiring and encouraging others to pursue their passions with confidence and integrity, Lay sets a powerful example for future generations. ”

Under Armour joins Nike (Drake, Lil Yachty) and Adidas (Ye) as the latest athletic brand to negotiate a contract with a non-athlete. Details about the deal have not yet been released.
