The 15th Annual Governor’s Awards went down this past Sunday, Nov. 17, in Los Angeles, conjuring up the stylish celebrities we can’t get enough of. Notable stars like Kerry Washington, Ryan Destiny, Zoe Saldana, and more were in the building looking extravagant in their designer threads. From Dolce & Gabbana to Saint Laurent, Hollywood’s finest brought their fashion A-game, setting the tone for the upcoming red carpet season.
The Governor’s Awards is an annual affair curated by the Academy’s Board of Governors. This event is the precursor to the Oscars ceremony, featuring heavy hitters from both the film and music industry. Last night’s soiree featured a bevy of stars who gathered to celebrate the greats in the industry and the fruits of their labor. The late musical icon Quincy Jones was one of the moguls honored at last night’s event by actor Jaime Foxx, who donned a black tuxedo paired with a white collar shirt.

Jennifer Hudson, who beamed in a Saiid Kobeisy beaded gown, continued Jones’ tribute with a soulful rendition of the gospel song “Maybe God Is Tryin’ to Tell You Something” from the 1985 film The Color Purple, which earned Jones three Oscar nominations.
Actor Coleman Domingo opened the awards ceremony with a touching monologue in a suave Dolce & Gabbana suit with structured shoulders and a waist-length tuxedo jacket.
