Best known for getting the gossip and spilling the tea, Jason Lee is taking a stab at serving his community through politics.
Lee—the founder of the multi-million dollar media and entertainment brand Hollywood Unlocked— has been elected Councilman in his childhood hometown of Stockton, California (District 6).

In March, Lee won the primary for Stockton City Council’s District 6 by a wide margin in a field of six candidates with nearly 42% of the vote. Today, he officially won over the incumbent councilwoman (Kimberley Warmsley), with 55.7% of the overall votes (Stocktonia.com)

“What happens now is people absolve themselves of the responsibility and they say, ‘It’s the school’s problem. It’s the county’s problem’…No, it’s all of our problems, but the solution would be actual investment,” Lee said in response to political forum question about the state’s increasing youth crime rates.
