Lizzo is no stranger to being trolled on the internet because of her size. When she carried extra weight, people shamed her figure and accused her of promoting an unhealthy body image. As a result, she used her platform to advocate for all bodies, especially the plus-size girlies who are often criticized for being unapologetically proud of how they look. She showed her workout routine, let fans in on the various diets she’s tried, and gave updates on progress. Now that she’s shed a few pounds, she’s still defending her body and dispelling the rumors that her weight loss is due to Ozempic.
The election results left most Americans in a state of anxiety, hysteria, fear and sadness. As people processed our new reality, the Grammy-award winning singer decided to send words of encouragement to her followers with a loving note. Holding the pen in her left hand, she wrote “Sending LOVE to everyone in the WORLD.”
Former NFL star Antonio Brown took Lizzo’s sweet message as an opportunity to flaunt is disdain for Black women by retweeting the message saying, “She hold the pen like she hold her ozempic shot…..”

Lizzo, known for taking the high road, responded to the message with a classy clapback. She posted a series of photos of herself living her best life, and captioned the photos, “Holding life like an ozempic pen.. 
.”
Lizzo pulls the clapbacks out of her back pocket with ease because she’s used to being the target of weight jokes. Whether she slims down or gains weight, people will have something negative to say. We’re glad she doesn’t let the chatter affect her sense of worth.
As for Mr. Trump-supporting Antonio Brown, he should probably mind the business that pays him—if such business exists. Not only was he released by the Buccaneers in 2022 for throwing a temper tantrum, but he was also arrested in 2023 for not paying child support, and he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2024 because he owes 3 million dollars to 8 different creditors. While Lizzo is signing contracts, he’s signing documents to verify his empty bank account. He’s worried about the wrong things!
