As the holiday season approaches, a new report by music experts at Playlist Name AI has revealed which Christmas classics are not only spreading cheer but are also raking in the most earnings on Spotify.
The study analyzed 100 of the most popular Christmas songs and gathered the number of streams from Spotify. The earnings were then calculated by multiplying the number of streams by the average Spotify payout of $0.004. They were then ranked to find the highest-earning tracks.
A spokesperson from Playlist Name AI commented, “these top-earning Christmas songs showcase both the enduring appeal of classic holiday music and the rising popularity of newer hits.
