Sza & Keke Palmer Have ‘One of Them Days’ In Upcoming Buddy Film Trailer Featuring Star-Studded Cast

One of Them Days is shaping up to be a must-see buddy comedy, starring SZA, Keke Palmer and produced by Issa Rae’s HOORAE. This marks the R&B singer’s first foray into acting with a star-studded cast of brilliant comics. Watch the trailer and check out the movie poster inside.

The film, written by Syreeta Singleton and directed by Lawrence Lamont, marks an exciting collaboration between Rae’s production company and diverse creative talents nurtured by Sony Pictures’ CoCre lab. Both Singleton and Lamont are alumni of Rae’s hit show “Rap Sh!t,” which tells us the creative synergy will definitely show up onscreen.

Starring Palmer and SZA, One of Them Days follows best friends and roommates Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA), who find themselves in a hilarious race against time after discovering that Alyssa’s boyfriend has spent their rent money. With eviction looming, the duo embarks on a series of wild and comical misadventures, all while trying to save their friendship and their apartment. The film is particularly exciting for SZA fans, as it marks the Grammy-winning singer’s acting debut following her recent collaboration with Palmer on “Saturday Night Live” in December 2022. Who knew this unexpected duo were foreshadowing this cool onscreen collaboration?

The supporting cast boasts comedic heavyweights such as Maude Apatow, Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, and Katt Williams, adding even more star power to the project. Palmer, who also serves as an executive producer through her Big Boss banner, is joined by producers Rae, Deniese Davis, Sara Rastogi, James Lopez, and Poppy Hanks.
