The indescribable pride of attending a historically black college or university (HBCU) is deeply rooted.

In 19th century, it was the only choice for black scholars wanting to further their education (as predominantly why institutions [PWIs] didn’t admit people of color). Now, HBCU’s are responsible for some of this nation’s most esteemed black doctors, lawyers, speakers, and change-makers—and one thing is for sure…they’re shouting out their alma maters any chance they get!

These celeb kids are proving that despite wealth, status, and connections, HBCUs are still top choices and highly desired institutions.
