Disgraced mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken into federal custody in New York late Monday evening (Sept. 16).
As reported in a TMZ exclusive, the Bad Boy Records founder was taken to the FBI field office in Manhattan. It is believed that the arrest is related to the ongoing criminal investigation into alleged sex trafficking and other crimes that led to raids at his homes in Beverly Hills and Miami back in March.

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, tells TMZ:
We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
He is an imperfect person but is not criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.
Combs has been the subject of multiple allegations and lawsuits over the past few months. Back in November, his ex-girlfriend, singer/model Cassie, filed a lawsuit, claiming that the mogul raped and abused her throughout their decade-long relationship. That lawsuit was settled out of court, but several more victims came forward with their own allegations.
Recently, former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard filed against her former boss with her own allegations of abuse. Meanwhile, a Michigan inmate recently won a $100 million default judgment after Combs failed to respond to his lawsuit, claiming that the mogul drugged and raped him in 1997.
This is a developing story.
