On Wednesday (Aug. 28) night, Grammy-nominated, diamond-certified producer, and global superstar Metro Boomin took the stage in Denver, Colorado, for the 19th stop of his ‘We Trust You’ tour with Future. It also marked the next stop in Metro’s “Leslie Joanne Single Moms Are Superheroes” Tour Grant-Giving Program. Read more about this beautiful cause inside.
As Metro and Future took the tour to Denver’s Ball Arena, it was important to the super producer to continue his efforts to empower and support single mothers in each city. The “Leslie Joanne Single Moms Are Superheroes” Tour Grant-Giving Program is an initiative that awards $20,000 grants and show tickets to nonprofits supporting single mothers in each city throughout the tour.
Last night, the duo delivered an electrifying performance, hitting fans with tracks like “Like That” and “Type Shit” from their chart-topping album, “We Don’t Trust You.” The album smashed records, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and became the most streamed album in a single day of 2024 on Apple Music across 80 countries.
The Denver show was more than the music. Metro Boomin honored the Rose Andom Center, a trauma-informed organization dedicated to helping survivors of intimate partner abuse, with a $20,000 grant.
This grant-giving initiative is part of a larger national effort that began in 2019 to uplift and empower single mothers across the U.S. Since launching the grant program with Kansas City and Saint Paul stops, Metro Boomin has extended his support to Detroit, Atlanta, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C., Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas, among others. So far, organizations like Essential Families, Jeremiah Foundation, Alternatives for Girls, Atlanta Mission, and many more have benefited.
This tour continues to honor Metro’s late mother, Leslie Joanne, by spotlighting and supporting nonprofits that make a real difference in the lives of single mothers. With presenting sponsor Amazon Access, the program is amplifying its reach, bringing hope and help to communities across the nation.
