Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais recently turned heads while promoting her new Lifetime film, Tempted By Love. The film, created by the Black girl’s favorite writer, Terry McMillan, tells the story of Ava, a world-class chef living in Europe who returns to the U.S. to care for her elderly aunt after a fall. In a twist of fate, Ava falls for Luke, the charming driver who picks her up from the airport. Despite their 20-year age difference, the two form a destined connection.

Embodying her character’s mix of passion for food and fierce attitude to do what she wants, Garcelle owned her recent look. The actress and personality embraced the summer’s hottest color trend, Brat Green, and inspired us to incorporate the trend in our next fit.

So fashionistas, let’s get into all the Bratty details.

Garcelle Beauvais makes Brat Green her own.

To make her version of Brat Green come to life, Garcelle wore a flowy, long-sleeved dress from AL.C. while doing press on August 13. The dress featured a flattering asymmetric hemline and ruching details that accentuated her curves. Paired with strappy green sandals from Christian Louboutin, the ensemble was a masterclass in monochromatic styling and modern glamour.

The vibrant green hue of her outfit was a showstopper that had people talking and praising her trendy style.  For hair and makeup, Garcelle wore a buss-down middle part with sleek tresses and a natural cosmetic look.

Garcelle is loving Brat Green so much that she wore the color twice this week. Visiting Good Morning America, the actress rocked an oversized Brat Green suit with silver shoes and accessories. We are loving her suit’s wide leg pants and overall funky aesthetic.

The 57-year-old’s stunning choice of color isn’t just a nod to the season’s trends but also a reflection of her approach to fashion. The former Jamie Foxx Show actress’ green look reminds all “Brat” followers that bright, unconventional colors can be empowering and stylish.

But what is Brat Green again?

The Brat Green trend, inspired by British pop star Charli XCX’s album cover of the same name, is a bright, neon shade that’s been taking over the fashion world. It’s a bold, attention-grabbing color perfect for making a statement.

According to Marie Claire, Brat Green isn’t a natural color. Conversely, it is a manufactured hue  “akin to the radioactive glow of a nuclear plant.” The color is loud and obnoxious, yet fun. Brat Green allows fashion slayers to be themselves while pushing the societal boundaries of style and trend.

Further, Brat Green looks particularly good on darker skin tones because the shade complements golds, reds, and browns. The trendy hue next to chocolate skin is a match made in heaven.

Like many current trends, Brat Green rose in popularity on social media with supporters and fans of all ages and industries. The term “Brat” has also taken a life of its own, meaning much more than just a color – from life to people to summer.

In addition to Garcelle, influential women, from Vice President Kamala Harris to actress Jodie Turner-Smith, are also embracing all that is brat.
